HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa meets with the Bahraini trainers and jockeys who secured victories at the King’s Cup Horse Racing Festival

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse-racing Club (REHC), today met with the Bahraini trainers and jockeys who secured victories at the King’s Cup Horse Racing Festival, at Riffa Palace.

His Highness extended his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for the esteemed patronage of the King’s Cup Horse Racing Festival at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse-racing Club, which was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

His Highness underscored that the support of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to advancing its horse racing sector and equestrian sports. This commitment plays a vital role in furthering this sector’s contributions to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development.

His Highness congratulated the winners and wished them continued success in upcoming regional and international competitions.

Reaffirming Bahrain’s commitment to fostering national talent, His Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to support Bahraini jockeys and local stables. These initiatives aim to enhance their global competitiveness, aligning with a wider vision to develop the Kingdom’s equestrian sector. Such efforts strengthen Bahrain’s position as a leading hub for international equestrian sports.

His Highness also emphasised the crucial role of the Bahrain Jockey Academy, in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), in delivering specialised development programmes that have significantly boosted the performance of Bahraini jockeys.

His Highness also highlighted the establishment of a dedicated fund to support the professional growth and well-being of Bahraini jockeys, further advancing the Kingdom’s equestrian sector.
