Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, congratulated Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, on the 80th anniversary of the League’s establishment.
The chairman expressed pride in the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing Arab cooperation, coordinating unified stances, and advancing shared interests, particularly during Bahrain’s presidency of the current Arab Summit.
He highlighted the Secretary General’s efforts in strengthening Arab cooperation, supporting regional and international engagement, and contributing to developing Arab solidarity, safeguarding achievements, and promoting collective action.
Al Saleh underscored the role of the Arab League in supporting joint Arab action and meeting the aspirations of Arab nations, to develop Arab unity, overcoming challenges, and achieve sustainable development and prosperity.
